Fonteblanda
Fonteblanda is located in the heart of Maremma, overlooking the bay of Talamone confined to the south with the Park dell'Uccellina. According to tradition, the popular name of the country would derive from a source of fresh water called bland located near the old route dell'Aurelia. The territory of Fonteblanda was first inhabited since the Iron Age as shown by some finds in the territory. For centuries the land around Fonteblanda were very marshy and prey to malaria and only through reclamation at the end dell'800 these places went repopulated. Today the country thanks mainly to agriculture and tourism in the beaches and dell'Osa Stake, to campsites in the pine forest, with trips and excursions to the mountains dell'Uccellina is booming.
